I Took a Tiny Boat into the Blue Grotto in Italy, and It Felt LIke Slipping into a Dream

Hey,

Let me tell you about a place that doesnt look real and barely feels real when you’re inside it. It’s called the Blue Grotto, and it’s hidden along the coast of Capri, Italy.

I had seen photos before I went. They looked edited. Too perfect. Too blue. Too glowing. But I still wanted to check it off my list.

I’m so glad I did. Because honestly? No photo of video does justice to what it feels like to be inside.

Getting Inside Feels Like a Secret Mission

So, the entrance is tiny, Imean really tiny. You have to lie flat in a small rowboat while your guide waits for the waves to settle… then pulls you through the cave entrance using a chain attached to the wal. I’m not joking. For a second, I thought: “Waht am I doing”?

And then, boom.

You’re inside. And it’s like stepping into a world where the ocean glows.

Why is It So Blue?
